Making a Ringtone

To create a ringtone in iTunes:

1)      Check to make sure that the preferences has Tones checked:

2)      In Music Library find the song that they want to have as a ringtone:

3)      Right click on the song and select Create AAC Version:

4)      When it creates the AAC version right click on the song and select Get Info:

5)      Select options then edit the start and stop time to meet total 30 secs:

6)      Drag and drop the song to the desktop and rename file from .m4a to .m4r (right click on song and select rename change just the last letter from an a to a r.)

       

7)      Then drag and drop the file into itunes and it will show up under tones:

8)      Sync ringtones and it should allow the ringtone to transfer.
