iCloud and Outlook

When you download the iCloud Control Panel (See Instructions) and sign in you will see an option that allows you to sync mail, contacts and calendars. This is an all or none option, meaning if  you check the Calendars it will automatically sync contacts. (Mail can be turned off or deleted by going into Accounts and delete the iCloud email- this only applies if you have an @me, @icloud, or @mac email address)

  • When you go into Outlook and Calendar you will see this screen:

It will show your Outlook calendar, and all of your iCloud calendars.

  • You will see an iCloud panel at the top that allows you to refresh, see Notifications and Sharing Settings.

At this time similar to when you have your Gmail account added to your Outlook you will need to chose ONE calendar to enter appointments to. Recommendation is to use the iCloud calendar in Outlook when adding/deleting appointments because that is the calendar that will sync to the cloud and thus to your phone.

If there is an appointment that you want to move from one calendar (Outlook) to your iCloud. Open the appointment and in the top right hand corner you should see something that looks like:
When you click that button it will move the appointment from the Outlook Calendar to your iCloud calendar.
